Description

This magnum bottle of Domaine Lafage Cuvée Nicolas 2022 is a 100% Grenache Vieilles Vignes. This delicious Roussillon red wine has a lovely ruby colour with purple highlights. The nose is ripe and expresses a lot of deliciousness. This is the general aspect of these olfactory impressions, which then develop into the expression of red and black fruit notes, followed by spicy notes. The palate is also ripe, but with a certain tension linked to mineral notes. There are hints of black fruit and a pint of Espelette pepper on the finish. The alcohol content of 15° is quite high, but there's no such impression on the palate, the whole being well balanced.
