Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Red: a great Burgundy Pinot Noir

Nuiton-Beaunoy showcases Burgundy’s finest terroirs through wines that reflect the identity of each appellation. This Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Red is made exclusively from 100% Pinot Noir, Burgundy’s iconic grape variety, renowned for its elegance, finesse and remarkable aromatic expression. The vines are planted on the hillsides overlooking the Côte de Beaune, where the clay-limestone soils and temperate climate allow the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly.

Its brilliant ruby colour with garnet highlights is followed by a delicate nose dominated by morello cherry, raspberry, redcurrant and blackberry. With aeration, floral notes of violet emerge, along with hints of liquorice, white pepper, forest floor and a subtle oaky nuance that adds complexity. On the palate, the attack is fresh and silky. The fine tannins support an elegant structure where red fruits remain very prominent, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. The finish is lingering, fresh and perfectly balanced.

Served at between 15 and 16 °C, this Burgundy red wine is the ideal accompaniment to chicken breast, veal fillet, duck breast, pan-fried mushrooms, beef bourguignon or cheeses such as Brillat-Savarin, Soumaintrain or Époisses. It can be enjoyed now or laid down for 5 to 7 years to develop further complexity.
