Description

MOON HARBOUR DOCK 2 Corn Single Malt Whisky, this French whisky is quite unique in its creation. It was aged for 30 months in Sauternes casks and then finished for an additional 6 months in barrels previously used to hold Margaux wine from Château Cantenac Brown.

The color of this Corn whisky is coppery, and the nose is rich. It evokes licorice, toasted hazelnut, as well as fruits like raisins and dark fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry. The second nosing also reveals spicy notes. On the palate, the fruity notes of raisins are confirmed, followed by hints of dried apricot that emerge before giving way to vanilla and toasty notes. The use of corn as the base grain and the aging in Sauternes casks, followed by the Margaux cask finish, truly shape the identity of this exquisite whisky.
