Amarula Cream is an iconic South African cream liqueur, renowned for its unique combination of marula fruit and a particularly velvety texture. Launched in 1989, it showcases a fruit characteristic of southern Africa, prized for its exotic aromatic profile. The brand has made this the hallmark of its recipe, which combines a marula spirit with a rich, creamy texture.

Production begins with the fermentation of the fruit, followed by the distillation of the spirit. This is then aged for two years in French oak casks, a process that helps to enrich its aromatic profile. It is finally blended with cream to create a harmonious liqueur, with an alcohol content of 17% vol.

On tasting, Amarula has a light brown colour with caramel highlights. The nose is fresh and fruity, whilst the palate offers a creamy texture and a smooth, rounded sensation. The marula notes add a touch of exotic fruit, complemented by indulgent hints reminiscent of caramel. The finish prolongs this velvety, fruity sensation.
