Meursault Blanc Domaine Michelot Sous la Velle 2018 White Burgundy Wine Chardonnay, Meursault Blanc Domaine Michelot Sous la Velle 2018, Le Meursault Blanc "Sous la Velle" from Domaine Michelot is fine and fat, all in finesse, very typical of Meursault. The musts of this Meursault are put in barrels (25% new) for 12 months. The alcoholic fermentation and the malolactic fermentation take place in barrels. The 1ha39 "sous la velle" plot is located at the bottom of the hill on clay soils and a gravel subsoil, at an altitude of around 220 meters. South-South-East exposure, the vines date from the 1930s. Part of each plot is grassed and controlled by regular mowing. This grassing allows water stress on the vine which forces the root system to plunge into the soil and helps to limit phytosanitary treatments, which accentuates the specific characteristics of each terroir. Formerly Domaine Mestre Michelot.
