Clos de Notaire Côtes de Bourg Red Wine Magnum. At the Clos du Notaire estate in Côtes de Bourg, the vineyard was created by the Romans, and overlooks the confluence of the Dordogne and the Garonne. This remarkable site benefits from the microclimate due to the proximity of the estuary and the southern exposure of its gravel and limestone hillside. Maitre COUTIN Notary in Jonzac gave the name Clos du Notaire to this area, already renowned in the 19th century. Merlot at 75% and Cabernet allow this terroir to be expressed in a wine with ample aging and sustained tannins.
