Description
OCTOMORE 16.1 70 cl Islay Single Malt Whisky is an ultra-peaty whisky (101.4 ppm) produced by the Bruichladdich distillery on the island of Islay.
This whisky is distilled from Concerto barley grown on the Octomore farm and aged for 5 years in first-fill bourbon casks. It is bottled at 59.3% ABV, making it a powerful and intense whisky.
On the nose, it offers aromas of salted caramel, honey, fruit and smoke.
On the palate, it reveals notes of orchard fruit (pear, ripe apple), candied citrus, vanilla, Islay's signature salty smoke and balanced toasted wood.
The finish is long, elegant and mineral, combining saltiness, residual smoke, citrus and lingering sweet vanilla.
This whisky is perfect for those who enjoy strong sensations and peaty whiskies.
