The Château Clarke derives its name from the Irish family that acquired the property in 1771. After over two centuries of vinicultural endeavors, the estate was purchased in 1973 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, whose dream was to own an intimate vineyard where he could express his full talent. Driven by unwavering passion, he transformed Château Clarke into one of the most renowned estates in its region.

Edmond de Rothschild Château Clarke represents a subtle blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

offering a truly distinctive Médoc character. The proximity to the Atlantic Ocean imparts a freshness to the terroir, evident in the wine's aromatic brilliance. This terroir proves particularly conducive to cultivating the Merlot grape, in a region more commonly associated with Cabernet Sauvignon production.

The wine displays a splendid red hue with violet edges.

The nose is imbued with delicate grilled aromas, complemented by hints of dried cedar, blackcurrant, and black cherries. On the palate, it presents as dense, rich, and sincere, quickly revealing soft and delicate tannins. An enjoyable freshness accompanies a long finish that is both savory and sweet. This high gastronomy wine pairs perfectly with beef dishes, demonstrating a delightful harmony.
