This wine is made from the Pinotage grape variety, a unique cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault, created in 1925 by Abraham Herold. Pinotage is an iconic South African grape variety, offering unique characteristics with aromas of black fruit, spices and roasted notes.
On the nose, Lion's Kop Pinotage offers aromas of plum, small black fruits, cloves and grey pepper.
On the palate, it is round and fruity with smoky, herbaceous notes and hints of spice.
This wine is produced from three selected vineyards in South Africa to achieve minerality, fruitiness and freshness.
