Château La Mission Lalande de Pomerol 2020: a little-unknown gem
Château La Mission Lalande de Pomerol 2020 is a red wine produced from clay and gravel soils, typical of the Pomerol appellation. Composed of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine displays a complex nose of blackberry, black cherry, liquorice and a hint of truffle. On the palate, it offers flavours of ripe black fruits, cocoa and a hint of sweet spices, supported by mellow tannins and a velvety finish.
The 2020 vintage, marked by a sunny summer and cool nights, gives this wine a balanced structure and aromatic finesse. Best served between 16 and 18°C, after decanting, it is the perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, game or dishes with sauce.
