This 40-Year-Old White Port from Dalva is an exceptional sweet wine, aged in oak barrels. Its nose reveals aromas of caramel, nuts and orange blossom, whilst on the palate it impresses with its velvety texture, notes of candied fruit and fine oak, and a fresh, elegant finish. Ideal with dried fruit desserts or blue cheese, it should be served at 12–14°C.

Dalva White Port 40 Years is an exceptional white port from the Dalva House, founded in 1862 and renowned for its carefully aged port wines. This port is the result of a blend of white wines aged in oak barrels for four decades, giving it unrivalled aromatic complexity and roundness. The House of Dalva, a pioneer in the art of ageing Port, uses traditional methods to preservethe authenticity and quality of its wines.
On the nose, this 40-Year-Old White Port unfolds captivating aromas of roasted hazelnut, candied apricot, acacia honey and vanilla, reflecting the richness and depth of its extended ageing. On the palate, it captivates with its velvety texture, notes of dried fruit, caramel and sweet spices, and a long, lingering finish, marked by a surprising freshness for a wine of this age.
This aged White Port is perfect for accompanying sophisticated desserts such as an almond tart, pan-fried foie gras or blue cheeses (Roquefort, Bleu d’Auvergne). Best served between 12 and 14°C, it embodiesthe excellence and expertise of Maison Dalva, for lovers of complex and refined sweet wines.
