A vintage Armagnac has a special quality: it allows you to rediscover the year of a harvest in a spirit shaped by time. Delord 1996 Bas-Armagnac is produced from a single vintage and then aged in oak casks in the cellars of Maison Delord, in Lannepax. This family-run house, founded in 1893, continues a tradition of distillation and ageing that forms part of the South-West’s spirits heritage.
This vintage develops a generous and nuanced aromatic profile. The nose evokes stewed fruit, poached pear, quince and fig, with hints of honey and marzipan. Upon aeration, nuances of vanilla, mocha and sweet spices enrich the bouquet. The palate is supple and balanced, characterised by caramel, baked apple, toasted hazelnut and candied prune.
