Description
Carte Dorée Genièvre de Houlle spends at least a year in oak casks before being sold in its 10cl jug, an ideal size for discovering this traditional digestif from Northern France. This all-rounder, with its powerful juniper aromas, can be enjoyed with a whole range of dishes, from starters to desserts. In its region of origin, cooks use it to deglaze sauces, flambé meat, prepare the famous trou flamand or a baba au genièvre.
Founded by the Decocq family in 1812, the distillery was taken over by the Persyn family in 1922, who developed the business internationally, while remaining faithful to traditional know-how.
Served chilled as an after-dinner drink, Genièvre de Houlle Carte Dorée has a planty, sweet, persistent character, dominated by juniper berries.
