Description
HAUTEFEUILLE French Single Malt Whiskey Esquisse N°6 70 cl.
This Opus 6 from the Distillerie Hautefeuille is made from French barley which has been malted and then dried over a peat fire. After distillation at the distillery farm, this single malt is then aged in new French oak barrels, then in cognac barrels and then in Pedro Ximenez Sherry barrels (a very sweet grape variety).
This elegant single malt is marked on the nose by the gourmet side of Pedro Ximenez sherry, then delicate notes of peat and wood appear. The finish evokes the smoke of the peat fire.
