The Sancerre Blanc Domaine des Terres Blanches 2024 is a great white wine from the Loire, made exclusively from 100 per cent Sauvignon Blanc. Grown in the famous limestone terroirs of Bué, Sancerre and Amigny, it captivates with its freshness, precision and remarkable minerality. The nose reveals aromas of citrus, white flowers and white-fleshed fruits. On the palate, it is lively, full-bodied and elegant, characterised by lovely structure and a long finish with mineral notes. An ideal Sancerre to pair with seafood, fish, sushi or Crottin de Chavignol.
Description
The Domaine des Terres Blanches Sancerre Blanc 2024 perfectly reflects the potential of the great terroirs of the Centre-Loire region. Made exclusively from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, it combines aromatic intensity, freshness and elegance. The limestone soils, characterised by caillottes and ‘terres blanches’, lend the wine a highly sought-after mineral character, whilst ageing on fine lees adds body and finesse.
The bouquet opens with aromas of citrus, lime, grapefruit, acacia blossom, white peach and blackcurrant buds. Notes of flint, chalk, damp stone and a slight hint of iodine gradually enrich this aromatic palette. On the palate, the texture is silky and lively. The freshness of the Sauvignon Blanc comes through fully before giving way to a lovely roundness, followed by a long, mineral and briny finish that is the hallmark of great Sancerres.
This great white wine from the Loire will pair perfectly with gourmet cuisine featuring fish, crustaceans, shellfish, poultry in cream sauce, goat’s cheese or refined seafood dishes. Its elegance and ageing potential make it a sure bet for lovers of great Sauvignon Blanc wines.
