Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey American Liqueur. Jack Daniel's is not Bourbon, it's Jack Daniel's will tell you the fans. The story begins with Jasper Newton alias "Jack" Daniel, born in 1846 or 1850 according to biographies. Jack Daniel takes over the distillery of his boss at the age of thirteen (or 17 depending on his year of birth) and quickly he understands the importance of a brand and gives his name to his production: Jack Daniel's. His nephew succeeds him in 1911 then passes the episode of prohibition, he again installs the distillery in Lynchburg in the heart of the Tennessee countryside in 1938. The appellation Tennessee Whiskey is officially recognized in 1941. A process of filtering through Maple charcoal significantly differentiates Kentucky Bourbon from Tennessee Whiskey, of which Jack Daniel's is a part. The famous Old No. 7 Jack Daniel's is the best-selling American Whiskey in the world.
