Description
Situated in the heart of Alsace, the Cave de Turckheim is a wine co-operative founded in 1955, which today brings together more than 200 passionate winegrowers. Together, they cultivate almost 350 hectares of vines, spread around the commune of Turckheim, whose name the cellar proudly bears.
One of the major assets of this cooperative cellar lies in the exceptional diversity of its terroirs: limestone, clay and granite, each of which gives the wines a unique aromatic richness and personality. This mosaic of soils enables the Cave de Turckheim to offer a fine range of typical, expressive wines.
This wine is made from a single grape variety, Pinot Noir, emblematic of Alsace. In the glass, it seduces with its brilliant ruby colour and delicious nose of red fruit: cherry, raspberry, strawberry...
On the palate, this Pinot Noir reveals a lovely lightness, fine tannins, a silky texture and a pleasant freshness, punctuated by a slight acidity on the finish. A subtle red wine, to be enjoyed young or slightly aged.
