The Vendémiaire 2024 Château Bouscassé is a superb Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh Moelleux that showcases the full talentof Alain Brumont, one of the greatest winemakers in the South-West. Made from Petit Manseng and Petit Courbu, this sweet wine captivates with its balance of richness, freshness and elegance. The very late harvest, carried out between November and December, results in an exceptional concentration of sugars and aromas. It reveals a bouquet of exotic fruits, apricot, quince, candied citrus, honey and white flowers.
Description
The Château Bouscassé Vendémiaire 2024 boasts a magnificent golden-yellow colour with luminous highlights. The nose is particularly intense, with aromas of candied apricot, mango, pineapple, quince, yellow peach, candied orange peel, acacia, honey and delicate vanilla.
On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, velvety and generous. The Petit Manseng brings remarkable aromatic richness and lovely natural tension, whilst the Petit Courbu offers finesse, freshness and elegance. Flavours of exotic fruits, candied citrus, ripe pear, honey, mild spices and flowers develop harmoniously, leading to a long, fresh and perfectly balanced finish.
Served at between 8 and 10 °C, this Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh Moelleux is the ideal accompaniment to foie gras, blue-veined cheese, mildly spiced Asian cuisine, fruit tarts, apricot desserts or simply as a gourmet aperitif.
