Description

This JP CANOPEE Rum is a blend of 6-year-old tropical rums. When tasting you will like the notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits including fig, prune and dates then a slight note of smoke appears. The palate confirms these beautiful notes of dried fruits, notes of sweet spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg take over, the whole being accompanied by a lot of sweetness and creaminess. The finish is very long, harmonious and precise.

This beautiful collector's rum is housed in a decanter which evokes the distillery's commitment to preserving the environment. The dry material of the box is made of plant fibers, and it received an award at the Luxe Pack Salon in Monaco in 2023.

The distillery that manufactures JM rums adheres to the EDDEN program (Committed to the Sustainable Development of our Ecosystems and Our Nature) and holds the Bonsucro certification.

This is why this vintage is called Canopée, since it refers to the Canopy (the tops of trees 10 m high or more) of the jungle located in the north-east of Martinique. Not far from there, in Macouba at the foot of Montagne Pelée is the Fond Préville estate, a 300 hectare estate in the middle of which is the distillery which produces JM rum, which owes its name to the initials of the name of its creator.
