Description
FOURSQUARE 12 Year Old 2010 Rum from Barbados . Richard Seale has once again graced us with a superb limited edition amber rum. This rum has spent 12 years in Bourbon casks under the tropical skies of Barbados. It is bottled at cask strength without cold filtration.
As usual, he blends rums distilled in column and pot stills.
The tasting was stunning (as it always is for this type of rum edition on Foursquare). The nose offers notes of dried fruit and exotic fruit, including pineapple and mango.
On the palate, the tropical fruit flavours return, with the emphasis on mango and currants. The woody finish reveals notes of vanilla and mocha, and there's even a hint of iodine and saltiness on the finish.
