Riccadonna Extra Dry Prosecco: all the freshness of the Glera grape

The 75 cl Riccadonna Extra Dry Prosecco showcases all the finesse of the Glera grape, a historic variety of Prosecco DOC grown in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Making up at least 85 per cent of the blend, Glera is complemented by authorised local grape varieties to preserve the authentic style of this cuvée. Produced using the Charmat method, which involves a second fermentation in pressurised tanks, this Prosecco retains all the freshness and intensity of its fruit.

Its brilliant straw-yellow colour is enlivened by a stream of fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with aromas of green apple, pear, white peach, acacia blossom and citrus. A subtle hint of honey adds a touch of indulgence without masking the wine’s liveliness. On the palate, the balance between freshness, fruit and sweetness is perfectly mastered. Flavours of crisp apple, peach and pear linger on an elegant and refreshing finish.

Served at between 6 and 8 °C, Riccadonna Extra Dry is an excellent choice as an aperitif. It also pairs well with antipasti, seafood, oysters, grilled fish, lightly spiced poultry or pasta with seafood. It also makes the ideal base for a Spritz or other sparkling cocktails.
