UKIYO Yuzu Gin 70 cl: an exceptional Japanese gin with the flavours of Japan

Inspired by the Japanese way of life, UKIYO Yuzu Gin is produced in the Chiba region, near Tokyo. It is based on a traditional shōchū made from Japanese rice, which is then redistilled with juniper berries, local citrus fruits and a selection of carefully chosen botanicals. The infusion of yuzu – Japan’s iconic citrus fruit, prized for its intense fragrance and freshness – gives this gin its unique character. This production method results in a particularly pure, elegant and perfectly balanced gin.

The colour is crystal-clear and brilliant. The nose immediately reveals notes of yuzu, fresh lemon, mandarin, grapefruit and bitter orange. Hints of coriander, juniper, sansho pepper, lavender and green tea enrich this aromatic palette. On the palate, the attack is smooth and very expressive. Citrus notes dominate with great freshness before giving way to delicate spices and a slight herbal note. The finish is long, lively and intensely citrusy.

Enjoy it neat, on the rocks or as a Gin and Tonic with a neutral tonic and a twist of lemon. It is also ideal for creating sophisticated cocktails such as a Gin Sour, a Tom Collins or a reimagined Martini. This gin is also the perfect accompaniment to sushi, ceviche, seafood or contemporary Japanese cuisine.
