PLATE VALLEY Sandstone Jug Corn Whiskey Missouri. With its 70 cl jug in sandstone one would think the Plate Valley Corn Whiskey released directly from "General Lee" 1969 Dodge Charger Bo and Luke Duke in the series "The Dukes of Hazzard", in a shade all the same! In fact, the Mc Cormick distillery that produces this beautiful Corn Whiskey is in Weston, Missouri while the series is set in the state of Georgia. This Platte Valley corn whiskey is aged in used oak casks for 3 years. Presented in its traditional sandstone jug, it symbolizes the idea that Europeans have of the American rural style. The nose of Platte Vlley is bright and floral, and evokes almonds and hazelnuts. The mouth is fresh and marked by fruits and spices, the wood appears only slightly in the final. it is a desire of the distillery that uses for this whiskey only aging barrels of second or third use. This beautiful product is compared to the Mellow Corn from Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky.
