Big Peat Whisky

Big Peat Whisky comes from Islay, an island in the south west of Scotland. This flat island is made up largely of peat, which is why it produces some of the smokiest and most peaty whiskies. Big Peat is made from several single malts from the island of Islay, producing a blended whisky with a strong character. Its rather humorous label describes the island's windy exposure and salty breezes.

How to taste Big Peat Whisky Tourbé d'Islay?

As you will have gathered from its very typical terroir, this blended is one of the most peaty whiskies. Fans of Scottish whiskies will not be disappointed. There are hints of liquorice and cloves, and of course a very smoky, ashy or tarry side. The final touch is a lingering note of asphalt.
