The 2020 Savigny Les Beaune Rouge from Domaine Maldant Pauvelot is a Burgundy red that will delight your palate, Jérôme, accustomed as you are to elegant wines . From a Burgundy terroir renowned for its clay-limestone soils, this 2020 vintage, dominated by Pinot Noir, offers a light ruby colour and a nose combining aromas of black cherry, violet, undergrowth and a touch of liquorice.

On the palate, the attack is silky and fruity, with flavours of morello cherry, wild blackberry and a hint of black pepper. The fine, velvety tannins harmonise with a slightly spicy finish, ideal for accompanying duck breast with porcini mushrooms, herb-crusted beef fillet or a platter of mature cheeses (Époisses, aged Comté). This wine, vinified with traditional expertise, combines power and elegance, characteristic of the great wines of Burgundy.
