These departments are Aude, Gard and Hérault. Looking at a map, it stretches from the south west of Nîmes with the Pic-Saint-Loup and the Saint-Drézery to the south of Gruissan with the last Mediterranean vines of Fitou and the Corbières. The Greeks were the first to cultivate the vine with the establishment of their counters then the Romans took over. For a long time, Languedoc wines were associated with poor quality wines.
