Woodford Reserve Batch Proof 119.5 is a limited release of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey designed to showcase the distillery’s blending approach at a high bottling strength. Produced in Versailles, Kentucky, it is bottled at 119.5 proof, or 59.75% ABV. The Batch Proof concept brings together whiskey from numerous barrels and bottles the resulting batch at its actual proof, rather than reducing it to the standard strength of the core range. According to Woodford Reserve, the expression uses the same grain bill and production process as its classic Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The selected barrels come from different production periods and maturation locations, bringing together a range of sweet, fruity, spicy, woody and grain-led characteristics.
