Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé 75cl – The Heritage of a Pioneering Champagne House

Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé Champagne 75cl celebrates more than two centuries of innovation in Champagne production. In 1818, Madame Clicquot pioneered the first known blended rosé Champagne by adding red wine to a traditional Champagne blend, establishing a method that would become widely adopted throughout the region.

Today, Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé continues this heritage through a carefully balanced combination of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier.

The traditional blend consists of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, complemented by approximately 12% red Pinot Noir wine. This addition contributes to the Champagne's attractive pink colour, expressive red fruit aromas and distinctive structure.

The grapes are selected from approximately 50 to 60 Champagne crus. Reserve wines, representing up to 45% of the blend, help maintain the consistency and character associated with the House.

Following blending, the Champagne undergoes around three years of maturation in Veuve Clicquot's historic chalk cellars. Extended ageing on the lees develops aromatic complexity and contributes to its rounded texture.

In the glass, Brut Rosé displays a luminous pink colour and delicate bubbles. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry, cherry and blueberry, accompanied by subtle notes of white pepper, orange peel, biscuit and toasted bread.

The palate combines refreshing acidity with a generous texture and a structured fruit character. Pinot Noir provides depth and intensity, while Chardonnay adds elegance and Meunier contributes softness and balance.

The finish is persistent, with lingering impressions of red berries, delicate spices and pastry.

Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé is particularly versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with sashimi, seafood, mature cheeses, Mediterranean-inspired dishes and lightly spiced cuisine. A delicate red berry dessert can also provide an enjoyable pairing.

Served between 8 and 10°C, this non-vintage Champagne offers a refined balance of freshness, fruit expression and complexity.
