ANGELS NECTAR Islay Rioja Cask Edition Single Malt Whiskey. This means that this peated single malt from Islay has spent 7 years in a barrel that previously contained Spanish red wine from the Rioja region.
Angels nectar is an independent bottler who has selected its barrels from the beautiful distilleries of this Island known for its peaty and smoky whiskeys.
Aging in Rioja barrels gives this single malt a pink color, the notes expressed on the nose are fine peat and an impression of warm blackcurrant from which a hint of pepper emerges. The palate confirms the peat, the smoke then softer notes of vanilla, strawberry jam and blackcurrant are expressed in the finish. This passage in Rioja barrels really brings something.
