The Cuvée Centenaire Blanc from Domaine Lafage draws its complexity from old Grenache Blanc and Roussanne vines grown on schist and pebble soils. On the nose, aromas of candied citrus fruits, white flowers and honey intermingle. On the palate, the balance between mineral freshness and fruity roundness is seductive, with a long and elegant finish. A powerful and refined white wine that reflects the Roussillon terroir.
Description
The Cuvée Centenaire Blanc from Domaine Lafage is a tribute to the old Grenache Blanc and Roussanne vines planted on schist and pebble soils. The nose opens with intense aromas of ripe citrus fruits, acacia flowers and honey, with a hint of warm stones. On the palate, the wine combines vibrant freshness and fruity richness, revealing notes of peach, apricot and toasted almonds.
The texture, both creamy and mineral, is carried by a balanced acidity, offering remarkable aromatic persistence. This carefully aged wine expresses all the depth and typicity of the Roussillon terroir. Perfect with shellfish, poultry or mature cheeses, it can also be enjoyed on its own to appreciate its complexity.
