Domaine de la Solitude Côtes du Rhône Villages 2024: an organic red wine with authentic character

Domaine de la Solitude, a historic estate owned by the Lançon family, is renowned for the quality of its wines, produced from the finest terroirs in the Rhône Valley. Certified organic, the estate cultivates its vines with respect for biodiversity and natural balances. This 2024 Côtes du Rhône Villages cuvée is made primarily from Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the appellation’s three iconic grape varieties. Grenache brings roundness and richness; Syrah develops aromas of black fruits, spices and violets; whilst Mourvèdre enhances the structure and length on the palate. The grapes come from deep clay-limestone soils, rich in pebbles, which promote perfect ripeness and excellent concentration. The wine is aged in vats to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.

The colour is an intense ruby with garnet highlights. The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, liquorice, pepper, thyme and rosemary. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and harmonious, supported by fine tannins and a pleasant freshness. The finish is long, opulent and elegant, characterised by notes of black fruits and spices.

Served at between 16 and 18 °C, this Côtes du Rhône Villages is the perfect accompaniment to a rib of beef, a leg of lamb, duck breast, Provençal stew, grilled meats or a platter of mature cheeses.
