SAGESSE is the fifth anniversary beer created to celebrate Brasserie Thiriez’s 30th anniversary. This 5% ABV wheat beer is a recipe devised by Daniel Thiriez, the brewery’s founder. Brewed with wheat, barley malt, Citra hops and cardamom, it offers a fresh, malty and delicately spicy profile. Cardamom adds an original aromatic touch, whilst Citra contributes to the freshness and fruity notes. Its 75 cl bottle is ideal for sharing this anniversary brew.
Description
SAGESSE holds a special place in Brasserie Thiriez’s 30th-anniversary collection. This fifth instalment is a personal recipe by Daniel Thiriez, founder of the brewery in Esquelbecq, in the Nord department.
For this creation, Daniel chose to develop a wheat beer inspired by a beer that had left a lasting impression on him during his career. The recipe combines a base of wheat and barley malt, Citra hops and a particularly distinctive spice: cardamom.
With an alcohol content of 5% ABV, SAGESSE remains an accessible and approachable beer. The wheat lends freshness and a gentle, malty character, whilst the Citra hops add a fruity, hoppy touch. The cardamom then brings a more distinctive aromatic signature, with spicy, floral and slightly lemony notes.
This combination results in a wheat beer that is fresh, fragrant and original. It will appeal to craft beer enthusiasts who appreciate recipes centred around spices and natural aromatics.
The 75 cl bottle is ideal for sharing. Served chilled, SAGESSE pairs beautifully with an aperitif of hummus, crunchy vegetables, fresh cheeses or light charcuterie. With a meal, it complements grilled fish, prawns, summer salads, herb-infused dishes or mild curries.
SAGESSE is also a wonderful way to discover the world of Brasserie Thiriez through a recipe directly linked to its history and its founder.
