Talisker Isle of Skye Single Malt Whiskey. Talisker is the iconic Malt single from the Isle of Skye and is part of the Diageo LVMH cCassic Malts selection. It represents what one imagines of the Isle of Skye, the minerality, the marine notes, to this add an oily character in the final which is due to a very gradual cooling out of alembic. with a measure of peat between 18 and 22 ppm this single malt is very slightly peated, which also highlights spicy and peppery notes. The peat is brought by the water drawn not in a river but in 21 different sources which flow from the neighboring mountain. A larger portion of the production is sold in singhle malt, but Talisker is still a component of the Johnnie Walker blends.
