Château Lyonnat is one of the oldest properties in the Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation. From generation to generation, the techniques used by the Château Lyonnat team have been refined to optimize the terroir. The vineyard benefits from a southern exposure and the clay-limestone soil is perfectly adapted to the cultivation of large grape varieties. The history of Milhade and wine begins with Damase Milhade, four generations ago, by the creation in 1938 of a wine trade in Galgon in Libourne country. Over time, this family business expanded with the acquisition of various Bordeaux wines (more than 230ha) such as Château Lyonnat in 1961 and Château Tour d'Auron in 1989.
