John Jameson creates his distillery in Dublin in Bow Street in 1780, which is now the visitor's Center. From the outset it is betting on the production of quality Irish Whiskey by privileging the nobility of its grain supply and then using the triple distillation in copper still to obtain a very smooth alcohol. Another secret of this undeniable quality comes from the mixture of malted barley and malted upstream. Finally, John Jameson decided to let his production age in sherry casks while all of his competitors sold a very young whiskey. So many fundamental decisions that ensured Jameson's success. Nowadays, the Jameson brand is the iconic brand of Irish Whiskeys with 22 million bottles sold in 122 countries around the world.

Jameson belongs to the Pernod Ricard group and the distillation was moved to the ultra modern Midleton distillery in Cork. This distillery also produces, according to different processes, Green Spot, Paddy, Power's, Redbreast and Tullamore Dew brands. The Bushmill brand was sold in 2005 to Diageo Group LVMH.
