Togouchi Scotch Whiskey aged in Japan. Togouchi is a blend whiskey offered by the traditional Japanese distillery Chugoku Jozo. Chugoku Jozo has been distilling since 1918 fruit liqueurs, shochu and sake. The proposed whiskey is not strictly speaking a Japanese whiskey since it is not distilled in Japan. The whiskeys were imported immediately after their distillation in Scotland and Canada, then put in oak barrels placed for 8 years and more, well sheltered in a tunnel of 400 meters where temperature and hygrometry are constant. The Chugoku Jozo distillery is in some ways a "breeder-assembler" of whiskeys, but the Japanese touch is very real since the water used to reduce the degree of alcohol Blend Tougouchi to the degree desired by the master blender is drawn from the Sandankyo Park springs in the heart of the Nishi Chugoku Sanchi Mountains on Honshu Island (it's good you locate it).
