An island wind blows at the aperitif time !!! The Punch is a cocktail based on Rum and fruit juice. Its invention goes back to the XVIth century when pirates then English sailors mix tafia (ancestor of Rum) with fruits and spices. They then share this recipe with the West Indians who improve it thanks to the diversity of their exotic fruits. Today, the West Indian punch, also called a planter, is a very popular cocktail synonymous with sharing and conviviality. Use: Pour 70 cl of white rum, mix and let macerate for 48 hours then filter before tasting. Ideal as an aperitif or after-dinner drink, as is, but also ti'punch with a dash of cane sugar syrup and 1/4 lime, or for all your rum cocktails (Punch, Daïquiri, Pina Colada ...). It will also flavor your desserts such as fruit salad, cakes, pancakes ... but can also be used to flambé bananas, prawns ... or marinate chicken, pork and other exotic dishes.
