This Macon Ige lieu dit Château London by Prosper Maufoux Burgundy white wine has a golden robe, evokes white flowers, grapefruit and peach kernel. The mouth is lively and frank, tart and the notes on the nose are confirmed on the palate. Château London is a locality whose explanation of the name is to be sought in Paris and not in London. The owner of these vines lived in Rue Landon in Paris in the 10th arrondissement not far from the St Martin canal. It is easy to imagine that LAndon turned into LOndon for the benefit of a transcription error ....
