Description
Pousse Rapière is an Armagnac liqueur flavored with bitter orange. Invented in the 1960s, this liqueur is an exclusive production of Château Monluc. Used in the composition of wild wine The term Pousse-rapière is a tribute to the Gascons of the 16th century who skillfully wielded this sword. The rapier is the first thrusting weapon, weapon allowing to attack the enemy, contrary to the weapons of sizes, heavy swords of the Middle Ages used in the manner of axes to defend themselves. The expression at the time said that we were "pushing the rapier" towards the enemy. It was brought back by the Gascon during the Italian campaigns under François Ier. She is also the ancestor of the musketeers' sword, brought by d'Artagnan to the court of France.
