Everyone agrees that Sociando Mallet fully deserves to be counted among the Crus Classés of Bordeaux wines. Located not far from the Gironde and neighboring Saint-Estèphe, the terroir of this Château pleads in its favor. By buying this castle in 1969, Jean Gautreau literally put himself at his service and constantly made him climb the steps leading to major recognition.
On 85 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon (55%), Merlot (40%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), Château Sociando-Mallet offers lively, dense reds. Jean Gautreau and his team perfectly master the woodiness which gives this wine all its class.
