Champagne Magnums Jeroboams and even more

Champagne in magnum. The magnum format (equivalent to 2 bottles 75 cl) is a perfect format for aging a champagne. The aromas develop particularly well, the ratio between the volume of and the gaseous exchange through cork is more favorable in magnum and thus allows a more harmonious aging. The champagne magnum is the ideal format for champagne. Generally champagne at the cut in starred restaurants is served in magnum for finesse and refinement. A magnum can serve around 12 to 15 flutes and is therefore suitable for an aperitif with more than 6 guests. Two flutes per person seems to be a minimum. There are also larger volumes, which impress by their size, but are less convenient to use during the service. It should be noted that these bottles are filled on demand because the foam is not made in the bottles above the magnum. The pressure generated during this foam making would explode the bottles. The phrase in French "Moi Je Me Suis Bien Nourri" "I Am Well Nourished" is a good mnemonic way to remember the names of the contents in the order.
