Blend Whiskey The 6 Isles
Where does the malt in The 6 Isles whiskeys come from?
The Six Isles is a pure malt whiskey that combines malts from the six producing islands: Arran, Islay, Jura, Mull, Orkney and Skye. This 6 islands have in common to produce whiskeys with peaty and smoky notes, which is the common point, but these 6 islands also bring to this Blend their own characteristics such as the heather notes of Orkneys, the spices in Skye.
The blend of The 6 Isles whiskeys
These single malts are blended (To Blend in English) and then age for another six months in oak barrels. This whiskey from the house of Ian Macleod (owner of Tamdhu, Glengoyne, Smokehead is a very nice introduction to the whiskeys from the Scottish Isles. Also exists with different finishes.
