The grape varieties authorized to make a white wine in Burgundy

Chardonnay:

Just as pinot noir is the star grape variety for red wine in Burgundy, chardonnay holds the same position for white wine in Burgundy. it seems that chardonnay and the terroirs of burgundy were made for each other.

The Aligote:

It enters into the composition in a minority way of certain wines, such as Crémant de Bourgogne. Aligoté adapts to different types of soil and when the yield is controlled it develops beautiful fresh and gourmet notes. Only Bouzeron is a village associated with Aligoté.

Sauvignon Blanc:

A curiosity of Burgundy, Sauvignon de Saint Bris is a white wine made exclusively from this grape variety.

Some winegrowers maintain the cultivation of Pinot Beurot or Pinot Gris or the Melon grape variety, but this is almost anecdotal. However, this approach makes it possible to preserve this heritage.
