The wine region of Beaujolais is worth more than what we often enjoy with pleasure on the 3rd Thursday of November. The Beaujolais is a very large wine region that offers 12 different appellations, each appellation gives the Gamay grape of Beaujolais the opportunity to express themselves. This vineyard is pretty well picked up since it stretches over a strip of 15 km wide and 50 km high, between Mâcon and the north of Lyon. Big names and winemakers are working hard to restore the reputation of Beaujolais wines. Jean Paul Brun and his Domaine des Terres Dorées show the immense potential of these wines, as well as Pascal Aufranc, Pascal Berthier, Lucien Lardy, Laurent Gauthier, Robert Perroud and Jean Michel Dupré who are all talented winemakers who work at this great project. More confidential, discover the Beaujolais Rosé or the Beaujolais Blanc.

The Beaujolais appellations are: Beaujolais, Beaujolais Villages, Brouilly, Côtes de Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Windmill, Regnié and Saint Amour. Large trading houses like Duboeuf or Monspey cover all of these appellations.
